I hate being wrong. Who doesn’t?
My simple advice: Get used to it. It’s as much a part of life as death, taxes, and “deez nuts” jokes.
This morning I made a boo-boo. A first-world owie that nonetheless was still an error. The last-minute request mixed with this-needs-to-be-done panic and only-scanning-and-not-even-well instructions for what to do with a time-sensitive legal document was, well, not the makings of a successful elixir.
I screwed up.
Kristina Benoist maintains that to “move past your mistakes” you must:
Accept your mistakes
Find the lesson in it
Be kind to yourself
Remember that you’re thinking about it more than anyone else
